What Is a Delivery Confidence Score?

A delivery confidence score is a number from 0 to 100 that shows how healthy a project's delivery is right now. It starts at 100 and drops as specific problems are detected, such as overdue work, blocked dependencies or stalled reviews, and each drop names the work items behind it.

How the score is calculated

Worksynk's score is rule-based rather than predictive. Every project starts at 100, and each detectable problem subtracts a capped number of points, so no single signal can swamp the rest:

  • Overdue open items: up to 35 points, scaling with the share of open work past its due date.
  • Items waiting on dependencies that are still open: up to 25 points.
  • Stale items nobody has touched in three days: up to 15 points.
  • Unassigned high or critical work: 5 points each, up to 15.
  • Items stuck in review for more than two days: up to 10 points.

How to read it

Scores fall into four bands: Healthy (80 and above), Watch (60 to 79), At risk (40 to 59) and Critical (below 40). A single number means little on its own, so the score is captured once a day per active project and read as a trend.

It is a decision aid, not a forecast: when it drops, the factor list tells you which rule fired and which work items to look at.

[ FAQ ]

Common questions.

Is a delivery confidence score a prediction?

Not in Worksynk. It counts problems that already exist in the project's own data, with rules you can read, rather than forecasting an outcome.

What is a good delivery confidence score?

80 or above is Healthy. 60 to 79 is worth watching, 40 to 59 is at risk, and below 40 is critical. The trend over recent days matters more than any single value.
