FAQ

Billing questions

What is Worksynk for?

Running client delivery — projects, people, time, and the reporting that keeps clients informed. It is aimed at teams who are answerable for dates: agencies, studios, and in-house delivery orgs.

Can I try Worksynk before paying for a seat?

Yes. Starter is free for up to five members with unlimited work items, and every paid plan is currently free for 90 days, with no credit card required to begin.

Why can I not see a feature I expected?

Worksynk ships as modules, and most are off by default even when your plan covers them. A workspace owner or admin turns them on under Settings → Modules. If a settings page looks empty, that is almost always the reason.

What happens if we turn a module off later?

Disabling a module hides its interface and blocks its endpoints, but does not delete your data. Turn it back on and your policies, budgets, or SLA configuration are where you left them.

Can we move over from another tool?

Yes. Connect Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps, or Zoho and import a project — issues arrive as tasks with their status and assignee mapped. Linked projects can keep syncing so a team mid-migration can work in both for a while.

How long does setup take?

Most teams connect a workspace, invite people, and import or create a first project the same day. A guided walkthrough is available if you want help mapping modules and roles.

What does the 90-day free offer cover?

Every paid plan is free for 90 days with the full platform unlocked for that tier. No card is required to start. Cancel before the period ends and you are never billed.

What happens after the free period ends?

You keep using Worksynk on the plan you chose, billed at the list price for that tier. We notify you before the trial ends so you can upgrade, change plans, or leave with your data.

How do AI credits work?

Every workspace on Team and above gets a monthly AI credit allowance for agent runs. Usage, remaining balance, and policy limits are visible in real time, and you can set hard caps per workspace so spend never surprises you.

What happens if I go over my plan's member limit?

We let you know before it becomes a problem. You can add members at any time and we prorate the difference — there is no hard cutoff that locks your team out mid-project.

Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or annual billing?

Annual billing saves roughly 20% across every paid plan, shown automatically when you toggle billing on the pricing table. Reach out through Contact for nonprofit and education pricing.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from billing settings. Seat and module changes are prorated so you only pay for what you use in that cycle.

What is the Delivery Confidence Score?

Every project starts at 100. Overdue work, blockers, stale items, unowned critical work, and review lag each subtract a capped amount — and the score names the work items behind each deduction. It is a prompt to look, not a black-box forecast.

How is Worksynk different from Jira or Linear?

Those tools record work well. Worksynk is built for delivery accountability: confidence scoring, client portals, governed AI, and MCP access on the same work model your team already runs.

What can clients see in the portal?

Only what you scope for them — branded progress, decisions, approvals, files, and handoffs. Internal tools, vault credentials, and private notes stay inside the workspace.

Which integrations are available?

Code hosts (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps), chat, design (Figma), meetings, imports from Jira/Asana and more, plus a native MCP server for AI hosts. Details live on the Integrations platform page.

Does Worksynk support sprints and milestones?

Yes. Work items, milestones, and sprints share one hierarchy, with saved views per team or client so nobody rebuilds filters every Monday.

Can we export our data if we leave?

Yes. Export your workspace at any point. Disabling a module hides it; it never deletes your history by default.

How is AI access governed?

A connected assistant runs as the person who authorised it and cannot reach more than they can. Connections default to read-only, every tool call is logged, and vault credentials are unreachable over MCP.

What happens on a write tool over MCP?

Over a connected AI host, a write tool executes when it is called — there is no confirmation prompt like in the app. That is why write scope is opt-in and should only be granted when an assistant genuinely needs to change work.

Do you support passkeys?

Yes. Passkey (WebAuthn) authentication ships today across every plan so teams can sign in without passwords.

Can Business plans get a custom security review?

Yes — Business includes a dedicated security review, custom data residency options, and a contractual uptime SLA. Talk to sales to start that process.

Is there a self-hosted option?

Business customers with data residency or compliance requirements can discuss private deployment options with our team during the sales process.

Where can I read the security and legal details?

Start with the Security page for encryption, access logging, and the vault carve-out from AI. Privacy, terms, DPA, and subprocessors are under Legal.
